Studiofru | Green Project

Studiofru | Green Project is an ongoing extension of Farhanaz Rupaidha’s artistic practice, focusing on the documentation of flora and fauna in Indonesia through field observation, photography, and writing.

Initiated in October 2022, the project began with the documentation of plant life around Setu Patok Lake, Cirebon. It has since developed into a growing archive that brings together visual documentation and research-based notes, positioning plants not only as biological entities but also as subjects connected to landscape, memory, and lived environments.

All photographs presented on this site are original works taken directly in the locations where the plants, animals, and surrounding ecosystems exist. The texts are written based on direct observation and are supported by references, which are included at the end of each entry.

Rather than functioning solely as an encyclopedia, Studiofru | Green Project operates as a long-term visual and textual archive that reflects an ongoing engagement with ecology, documentation, and representation.

About the Author

Farhanaz Rupaidha is an artist whose practice engages with themes of history, environment, and visual representation. Through Studiofru, she develops projects that intersect artistic research and field documentation, with a focus on how natural and social landscapes are observed, recorded, and interpreted.

This project is part of that ongoing practice, where documentation becomes both a method of research and a form of visual inquiry.
